Abra village chief nabbed

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A village chairman in Abra was arrested for possession of illegal drugs and a hand grenade during a search at his house over the weekend.

The search on the house of Armando Alagao, 44, in Barangay Gaddani in Tayum town, was based on a warrant issued by Bucay Regional Trial Court Judge Raphiel Alzate.

Alagao is in the drug watch list in the province, Senior Superintendent Albertito Garcia , Abra police director, told The STAR. – Raymund Catindig, Artemio Dumlao
