2 soldiers caught using shabu

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines - Joint police and Army troopers on Friday arrested two soldiers who were caught in the act of having a shabu pot session inside a barrack in a village east of Zamboanga City.

The police identified the arrested suspect as Corporal Carlos Balungcs and Private First Class John Michael Castro, both assigned with the 11th Division Reconnaissance Company (DRC) under Task Force Zamboanga based in Barangay Sangali. 

The joint elements of Police Station 3 and the 11th DRC troopers conducted the anti-illegal drugs operation at the compound of Sangali Fishing Port and caught th suspects on the act of having a shabu pot session about 9:30 a.m.

The arresting operative and Army personnel recovered a sachet of transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, two pieces of aluminum foils and other drugs paraphernalia. 

Both suspects were detained at the Sangali Police Station.
