Piglet with 2 heads born in Ilocos
MANILA, Philippines - A piglet with two heads was born in Dingras town in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday night, a report from ABS-CBN News Ilocos said yesterday.
The piglet, which had four eyes, two noses and three ears, died on Wednesday morning or nine hours after it was born.
According to Crisanta Sabug, the two-headed piglet was the fourth to be born by her pet.
Sabug said they helped her pet during the delivery after they noticed that it was having difficulty giving birth to the fourth piglet.
She said they were surprised when they saw the piglet had two heads. It was the only one born with defects among 10 piglets.
Sabug said they brought the two-headed piglet to their house and fed it milk.
Veterinaraian Arthur Cobello said the piglet’s mother might have suffered pregnancy complications, which resulted in the abnormality.
Sabug said they would not bury the piglet and would preserve it. She believes the two-headed piglet would bring luck to her family.
