Principal gunned down in Batangas

BATANGAS, Philippines – A high school principal was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen in San Juan town here yesterday morning.

Florencio Ilao, 51, of Palanan Elementary School in San Juan Batangas, died while being treated at the San Juan District Hospital, Senior Superintendent Omega Jireh Fidel, Batangas police director, said.

Ilao was in a jeepney on his way to work at 6:45 a.m. when he was shot upon reaching Barangay Malabanoy.
