Baguio just 4 degrees colder than Manila on Monday
MANILA, Philippines — Temperature in Metro Manila Manila dropped to 19 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, the weather bureau said.
The temperature was recorded at 6:10 a.m. at the Quezon City Science Garden on Monday, a report from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration indicated.
PAGASA weather forecaster Meno Mendoza said the capital city is still affected by the cool northeast monsoon or "amihan" which will continue until the third week of March.
Mendoza said in an interview on dzMM that the northeast monsoon is expected to partially intensify in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the country's summer capital, Baguio City, experienced a temperature of 15.5 degree Celsius recorded at 6 a.m. on Monday, according weather site AccuWeather.
Partially cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms can also be expected throughout the country. - Camille Diola
