4 kids die in Bulacan fire

MALOLOS, Philippines – Four children died in a fire that razed their home in Marilao, Bulacan  Friday night.

Jerry Anne Sotayco, 4; her siblings Ashley Jane, 3; Tisoy, 2, four-months-old Jeremy Jr. were initially rushed to the St. Michael’s Hospital in Marilao, but were later transferred to the Philippine General Hospital in Manila, where they died while undergoing treatment.

The children’s parents, Jeremy Sr. and Angie, were reportedly at a computer shop when the fire broke out.

Reports said the fire, which was reportedly caused by an unattended candle, started at around 8 p.m. at the Sotaycos’ house in Barangay Santa Rosa 2.

Neighbors and responding firefighters managed to prevent the  blaze from spreading to other houses.
