Blast mars bikini pageant; 4 hurt

BUKIDNON, Philippines – Four persons were wounded when an explosion occurred during a bikini pageant in Pangantucan town here Friday night.

The victims – Alfredo Aclan, Jennifer Candila, Ricric Palma and Rolando Merto – were taken to the Maramag Emergency Hospital for treatment, said Inspector Jiselle Ester Lou Longakit, spokesperson for the Bukidnon police office. Two of them were discharged after receiving treatment.

Longakit said the victims were watching the program when an explosion, believed to be a hand grenade, occurred in Barangay Bangahan at past 9 p.m.
