MANILA, Philippines - Several houses were destroyed after a fire broke out in a residential area near the boundary of Pasay and Makati cities, shortly before noon Thursday.
Initial reports said no one was injured during the fire.
The blaze started near the vicinity of the Pasay Public Market around 11:42 a.m.
It reached fourth alarm as numerous firefighters tried to douse the flames, which quickly spread to adjacent houses along M. Dela Cruz Street.
