5 kids drown in Capiz dam

MANILA, Philippines -Five children drowned in a dam in Tapaz, Capiz, a local disaster official said Friday.

The victims – Ketchie Sumaria, 9; Melody Gilbaliga, 7; KC Sumaria, 6; Lloyd Aguirre, 6, and Keven Jhon Sumaria, 5 – were swimming when they drowned at around 3 p.m. last Wednesday, said Espiridion Pelaez, executive officer of the provincial disaster risk reduction and management council.
