3 missing in Negros

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – A couple and their son were reported missing since they left for Guimaras from Valladolid, Negros Occidental in a pump boat on Feb. 1.

Eduardo de la Cruz, 75; Milagros, 74; and Dennis, 47, took the boat from Barangay Palaka around 10 a.m., Eduardo’s nephew, Rodel Ladoc, told Bombo Radyo on Wednesday.

Philippine Coast Guard-Bacolod head Lt. Cmdr. Glenn Daraug said he alerted PCG personnel to conduct search and rescue operations as far as Cuyo Island in Palawan.
