MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a Liberian man during a sting operation in Pampanga, seizing approximately 98 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Tuesday.
The PDEA identified the suspect as Izo Noble, 35, a native of Camp Johnson Road, Monrovia, Liberia and now residing at Don Rosario Street, Angeles City, Pampanga.
Belated reports said that last February 7, around 6:30 p.m., a drug transaction was hatched between Noble and a PDEA undercover agent who agreed to meet along Mc Arthur Highway, Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Upon a pre-arranged signal, authorities pounced on the suspect after he handed over a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
Noble is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
