2,500 marijuana plants uprooted

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police uprooted some 2,500 marijuana plants and seedlings in Benguet over the weekend.

The illegal plants were found in four farms in Barangay Badeo in Kibungan town, said Senior Inspector Andres Calaowa, municipal police chief.

The police officers also destroyed hydraulic jacks, moulds and other equipment used in the production of dried marijuana bricks. No one was arrested during the raid.
