3 NPA rebels face murder raps in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police filed murder charges against three suspected members of the New People’s Army for the killing of the father of a councilor of Lasam, Cagayan last Jan. 25.

Bayang Infante, alias Ka Diwa; Raymund Guzman, alias Ka Blady; and Mario Lagua were charged for the assault on the house of Councilor Jay Isaac Agatep III that killed Victor Isaac Agatep III, said Chief Inspector Ramil Alipio, Lasam police chief.

Alipio said the victim’s son, Jamail Isaac Agatep, and two house helpers identified the suspects from the police gallery.

The rebels also took the victim’s Nissan Navarra, which was later found burned and abandoned in Barangay Abariongan.
