3 dead in Cagayan road mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Three people were killed and another was injured in recent road accidents involving motorcycles in the towns of Buguey and Lallo in Cagayan.

Edward Asuncion, 38, an employee of the municipal government of Buguey and laborer Noli Salvador, 36, died when their motorcycles collided in Barangay Leron, Buguey around 9 p.m. on Jan. 29, said Police Officer 3 Arnel Tamanu.

In Lallo town, Jerry Usabal, 41, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding hit a concrete wall along the highway in Barangay Bangag last Wednesday.

Usabal’s companion, Noel Malanot, 31, suffered serious injuries and was brought to the Matilde Olivas Hospital.

Police Officer 1 Gerardo Conde Jr. said the two came from a drinking spree at a videoke bar when they figured in the accident.
