Baguio chills at 10.4°C

Artemio Dumlao - The Philippine Star

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – This city’s temperature further dropped to 10.4 degrees Celcius yesterday morning from 11.4 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The 10.4 mark is the coldest recorded so far this year since the start of the cold months.

In the first week of November, the temperature went down to 12.4 degrees Celsius, signaling the start of the city’s signature chill.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration predicted that the temperature would continue to drop until February, the last of the so-called “cold quad months” in the highlands.

Baguio City recorded its coldest on Jan. 19, 1961 at 6.3 degrees Celsius.
