Several hurt in Zambo City blast

MANILA, Philippines - Several persons, including a policeman, were wounded after a blast ripped through a bar near a bus terminal in Zamboanga City, Friday afternoon.

Among those hurt during the explosion was Senior Police Officer 2 Bahari of the Zamboang City police.

The victims were rushed to the Zampen Hospital for treatment, according to police investigators.

Initial reports said the explosion happened at around 3:15  p.m. at the Fantasy Bar in front of a bus terminal in Barangay Guiwan.

The bomb was reportedly placed inside a car parked in the area. The blast also damaged several vehicles and establishments in the immediate vicinity, reports added.

Authorities are still determining the type of bomb used in the incident.
