Korean kidnapped in Lanao Sur

MANILA, Philippines - Unidentified men kidnapped a Korean man, according to reports reaching the police and military on Tuesday.

The kidnapping of Kim Hyang-koung, a resident of Pueblo Deo in Cagayan de Oro City, was reported to police after his black Toyota Avanza (AAF-7615) was recovered in Barangay Mipaga in Saguiran, Lanao del Sur on Monday afternoon.

Barangay residents said they have also rescued the victim’s security escort, identified as Police Officer 2 Roel Villardo of the Manticao, Misamis Oriental police.

The police and military are investigating the incident.
