Jail visitor faces drug raps for sneaking shabu

Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – Police field a complaint against a man for sneaking a sachet of shabu into the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility here.

Raymond Untalan, 31, a resident of  Barangay Buenlag, Calasiao, Pangasinan was charged for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act, Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, city police chief, told The STAR.

Kenneth Bid-ing, BJMP warden, said Untalan mixed a sachet of shabu in a  bowl of dinuguan (pork dish of pork blood and internal organs) that he brought an inmate.

Bid-ing said a jail guard discovered the shabu sachet wrapped in an aluminum foil and hidden in a cotton ball.

“Instead of you visiting your relatives inside the jail, you will be the one to be visited by your relatives inside the jaiI,” Bid-ing warned jail visitors.
