ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A woman who recently gave birth to triplets here is appealing for financial help to raise her babies.
Rowena Jose, 35, of Barangay Banganan, made the appeal on Friday over the Catholic radio station dwRV.
Rowena told The STAR that aside from the triplets, she has two other children – Karianne Kres, 14, and Krezta Leigh Atsha, 6.
She said although they were not financially prepared, the birth of the triplets, all girls, is God’s greatest gift to them.
Rowena said she delivered the triplets at the provincial hospital in Bambang town on Dec. 2, more than a month earlier than her Jan. 15 due date.
She said two of the babies, Smart Chzai and Lovely Chzie, weighed 1.7 and two kilos, respectively, when they were born while the third, Hershey Chzeen, was only 1.2 kilos and had to be attended by a specialist.
Rowena’s mother Editha, who was helping her take care of the triplets, had a stroke. Her husband Armando is a tricycle driver.
