Bulacan town gets trash boat

Ding Cervantes - The Philippine Star

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – A P1.7-million trash boat has been turned over to the municipal government of Bulakan in Bulacan by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to help clean Manila Bay.

DENR provincial officer Celia Esteban yesterday said the trash boat was part of their compliance with an order of the Supreme Court to clean and revive the bay.

The DENR earlier distributed similar trash boats to the local governments of Obando, also in Bulacan; Cavite, and the cities of Manila and Malabon.
