Pampanga quarry revenue hits P1 B
SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – Revenue from quarry operations in this province for the past three years has reached more than P1 billion, an environment official said yesterday.
Art Punsalan, chief of the provincial government environment and natural resources office, said total quarry income – the sum of aggregate quarry collections, weighing scale fees, accreditation of motor vehicles and sand and gravel fees – has reached P1,364,566,747.34.
Documents provided by the provincial government environment and natural resources office show that quarry collection from January to Dec. 23 this year was at P340.8 million.
Weighing scale fees now stand at P65.9 million with P62.9 million collected from Pampanga haulers and P3.01 million from truckers outside of Pampanga.
Revenue from accreditation of motor vehicles involved in quarrying was at P20.4 million while quarry sand and gravel fees were placed at P3.6 million.
