3 hurt in Masbate grenade blast

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Three persons were wounded when a grenade exploded in front of a bank in Masbate City yesterday morning.

Irene Marastilla, 33; a bank security guard; and a garbage collector suffered shrapnel wounds, according to Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

Calubaquib said witnesses saw a man on a motorcycle lob a grenade at around 4 a.m. An investigation is ongoing, she said.
