CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A woman was killed while three others were injured in an accident involving a passenger bus and a van in Nasugbu, Batangas Friday night, a police official said yesterday.
Superintendent Marlowe Torina, Nasugbu police chief, identified the fatality as Ma. Lourdes de Belen, who was among the passengers of the Toyota Hi-Ace (XGG-524). She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ospital ng Tagaytay.
Three other van passengers remained confined at the Metropolitan Medical Hospital.
Torina said the accident occurred when a DLTB bus (UYC-930) driven by Teomar Mulingbayan lost control of the wheel and hit the van when he overtook another vehicle.
