1,000 Visayas cops promoted

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Some 1,000 members of the Western Visayas police were promoted in a ceremony at Camp Delgado in Iloilo City Monday. 

A report from the Police Regional Office 6 said among those promoted were 54 commissioned officers composed of two senior superintendents, 16 chief inspectors, 32 senior inspectors, and four inspectors.

Also promoted were 946 non-commissioned officers including 99 Senior Police Officers 4 (SPO4s); 56 SPO3s; 259 SPO2s; 177 SPO1s; 164 Police Officers 3 (PO3s) and 191 PO2s.

Regional police director Chief Superintendent Josephus Angan said the oath-taking ceremony was attended by families of the officers.
