MANILA, Philippines - A 37-year-old cook from Laguna and a 60-year-old sari-sari storeowner from Cavite were among the three winners of the jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto game on Dec. 3, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas, PCSO acting chairman, said the winners, who hit the winning combination 05-09-11-14-23-28, with a jackpot of P 47,139,388, claimed their prize on Wednesday and Thursday.
The third winner, a bettor from Rizal, has yet to claim his share.
Rojas said the two winners claimed they had bet on the combination, which represented the birthdays of their family members, since the lotto games started in 1995.
He said the cook plans to invest his winning on a restaurant, save for his son’s education and buy a house and lot. The sari-sari storeowner also plans to buy a house and lot, expand her business and deposit her winnings in a bank.
