BALANGA CITY, Bataan, Philippines – The vehicle that Pope Francis will use when he visits the country next year is ready, according to the chairman of the committee on transportation on the Papal visit.
Bishop Ruperto Santos of the diocese of Balanga said the vehicle is open to enable the Pope to interact with the people in the places he will visit.
“In coordination with the Presidential Security Group, we can assure his security,” Santos said.
Pope Francis will be in the Philippines from Jan. 15 to 19.
Santos’ committee is in charge of the transportation requirements of the Pope and other church dignitaries as soon as they arrive in the country.
He said preparations are in full swing and on schedule.
