Suspect in Batangas teacher’s slay identified

The Philippine Star

BATANGAS, Philippines – Police have identified one of  three men who killed a head teacher in Rosario town last Friday.

Ronald Gonzales of Tiaong, Quezon was identified through a computer-generated image based on the description of a witness, Batangas police director Senior Superintendent Omega Jireh Fidel said.

Police released yesterday two images, one showing Gonzales and the other his companion, who has yet to be identified.

“The witness pinpointed the suspects’ escape route and we were able to use the video footage from the closed-circuit television camera installed in the area,” Fidel said.

He said the suspects were not wearing any helmet or bonnet to cover their faces when they allegedly shot Macario Perez, head teacher of Gregorio Sison Memorial Elementary School in Ibaan town.

Perez was declared dead on arrival at the Maderazo Hospital.
