2 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Compostela Valley
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P1.125 million worth of shabu from two suspected pushers during a buy-bust operation in Compostela Valley last Friday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects as Cornelio Amihan Revilla, 36 and Raul Mamac Yuzon, a driver, residents of Barangay Poblacion, Nabunturan town.
Cacdac said Revilla had just been elevated to a drug personality of primary concern in Region 11 at the recently-concluded PDEA Intelligence workshop held at the agency's national headquarters in Quezon City.
He said that elements of PDEA Regional Office 11 (PDEA RO11) nabbed the suspects after they sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer in Purok 8, Barangay Poblacion, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province.
When frisked, the suspects also yielded 125 grams of shabu worth over P1 million, five grams of marijuana dried leaves and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Revilla and Yuzon will face charges for violation of the Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
