Zambo grenade attack leaves 2 wounded

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Two persons were wounded when a grenade lobbed by motorcycle-riding men exploded near the house of a village chairman here Saturday.
Eugene Jumawan, chairman of Barangay Buenavista, and some village councilors were having a meeting at a nearby waiting shed when two motorcycle-riding men arrived and hurled the grenade at around 8:40 p.m.
The explosion wounded Jumawan’s niece, Queenie Levita, 19, and bystander Addim Alaja Attain, 16. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
