Person's decomposing body found in Makati City

MANILA, Philippines - A decomposing body of a person was found in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City, early Friday.

The body, stuffed in a large suitcase, was found by a garbage collector at the corner of Jacobo and Firmena streets before 6 a.m.

Police investigators could not immediately conclude if the victim was male or female because the person's face was unrecognizable.

Investigators said that some residents saw a taxi stop at the same spot where the suitcase was abandoned.

Police were also looking for close-circuit television cameras in the area.
