2 more suspects eyed in airport engineer’s slay
CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines – A special investigation task group has leads on at least two more suspects in the murder of the aviation engineering head of Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), an official said yesterday.
Tarlac police director Senior Superintendent Alex Sintin, head of Task Group Angeles, told The STAR he ordered tight security for Crusenia Angeles, widow of slain CIAC chief engineer Ruel Angeles, who was gunned down in Barangay Pada-pada in Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac last Monday.
Crusenia was hit but survived, while their four-year-old grandson was unhurt.
“We are waiting for her health to improve before we ask her questions,” Sintin said adding they are checking reports that the victim recently figured in a quarrel.
Sintin said they would check Angeles’ cell phone, which is being kept by the victim’s relative.
The other day, the task group released a sketch of the gunman based on descriptions given by witnesses.
