TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon, Philippines — Police have identified at least 11 suspects involved in alleged initiation rites of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity that resulted in the death of a neophyte.

Tagkawayan police chief Inspector Reynaldo Reyes said a manhunt for Jodel Beringuela, Eric Tonton Buitizon, Joey Bame Aljon Bermillo and a certain Usa, Jie, Ismael, Thorio, KLBW and BHN2KHIE has been launched.

Reyes said a complaint for homicide in relation to Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law was filed against the suspects with the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Calauag on Thursday.

Police filed the case after Manuel Munar, also known as Junior, surrendered and recounted the initiation rites that killed Ariel Enofre, a former student of Southern Luzon State University.

The initiation rites reportedly occurred in Barangay Mapulot on Oct. 17.

Enofre died of kidney failure and infection at the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City, Camarines Sur a few days later.
