Man nabbed at NAIA for 'climbing' plane's landing gear

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested Friday for allegedly entering the ramp area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport where he reportedly held onto a departing plane's landing gear.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said that security officers apprehended the unidentified man who ran inside the tarmac of Terminal 1.

"He is now undergoing interrogation," airport authorities said in a statement released shortly after the incident.

MIAA said that man was giving airport investigators "a hard time" and answered questions incoherently.

"Questioning is still in progress," MIAA said. - Camille Diola
