Man kills son’s foe

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – A driver stabbed dead a 13-year-old boy who reportedly punched his son in Jaro district on Wednesday.

Rey Arcillano, 37, was arrested in Tigbauan town three hours after he reportedly killed John Ryan Delgado in Barangay Seminario, Jaro at around 8 a.m.

Arcillano said he did not regret killing the victim. He said he was forced to stab Delgado, who was with a group of boys out to attack him.

“When I saw them flee, I pulled the knife from Delgado’s body and stabbed him several times,” the suspect reportedly said adding he did it to prevent the others from coming back.

Delgado was rushed to the West Visayas State University Medical Center where he died while being treated. He suffered 13 stab wounds in the body.
