Mild quakes hit parts of Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines - Mild quakes shook parts of Mindanao yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs said the tremors of magnitude 3.9 and 4.8 occurred at 9:10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively. 

The magnitude-3.9 quake was felt at Intensity 3 in M’lang and Tulunan, North Cotabato and Intensity 2 in Kidapawan City and Makilala, North Cotabato. 

The second quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Tulunan, North Cotabato; Intensity 3 in Kidapawan City, Makilala and M’lang, North Cotabato; Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat; and Davao City; and Intensity 2 in Koronadal City.
