5 nabbed in Koronadal drug raid

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – Five men were arrested in an anti-drug operation that also resulted in the seizure of shabu and fake money here yesterday morning.

Noel Magbanua, Jonathan Espeja, Pok Prinsipe, Jeffrey Soliera  and Vincent Ray Magpasos were allegedly caught in a pot session in Barangay General P. Santos at around 3 a.m.

Glorio Sandig of the city’s anti-drug abuse council said the raid on a house reportedly occupied by Magbanua and Espeja was based on a warrant issued by Judge Lorenzo Balo.

The suspects are being held at the city police detention jail while charges are readied against them.

Mayor Peter Miguel commended Sandig and the city police for the arrest of the suspects.
