NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – One of three worshippers wounded in the explosion that ripped through a chapel of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines in Pikit town on Oct. 8 has died, bringing the death toll to three.

Virginia Manolid, 63, a public school teacher and resident of Pikit town, died while being treated at a hospital in Kidapawan City on Tuesday, her son, Jaypee, told reporters.

The two other fatalities were identified as Felomina Nacario-Ferolin, 54, a public health nurse, and Gina Gabilona, 39, a public school teacher.

The victims were seated close to each other near the spot where the 40-millimeter shoulder-fired grenade projectile used in the attack exploded.
