Soldier claims P98-M lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines - A 30-year-old soldier who hit the jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto draw on Oct. 6 claimed his prize Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO acting chairman, said the soldier hit the six-digit winning combination 45-24-13-16-29-05 with a jackpot of P98,652,196.

The winner bought the ticket from a lotto outlet in Manila.

He plans to buy a house and lot, put up a trust fund for the education of his only child and deposit his winnings in a bank.
