Mild quake hits Davao

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.5 earthquake rocked parts of the Davao region yesterday, but did not cause significant damage, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. 

Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at 7:29 a.m. with the epicenter some 37 kilometers northwest of Davao City. 

It was felt at Intensity 2 in Carmen, Davao del Norte and Davao City. 

Phivolcs said minor quakes were also recorded in Zambales, Antique, Surigao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental.
