Cop, sis nabbed for drugs

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – A police officer, who has reportedly gone absent without leave, and his sister were arrested in a drug sting in Prosperidad town, Agusan del Sur Sunday.

Police Officer 1 Herald Maghanoy and his sister, Rigil Maghanoy Realista, were nabbed at their house in Barangay Poblacion by a joint team from the Caraga-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the provincial police, said Superintendent Glenn Silvio, chief of the Caraga-CIDG.

Seized from the suspects were three plastic sachets allegedly containing shabu, cellphones and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were brought to the CIDG regional office at Camp Rafael Rodriguez here.
