Woman sues businessman for 'rape' of mentally challenged sis
MANILA, Philippines — A woman filed a statutory rape charge against a businessman for sexually abusing and impregnating her 29-year-old mentally-challenged sister in Quezon City.
The complainant sued Hermogenes Morquianos Jr. before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office for sexually assaulting and taking advantage of her sister's condition.
Based on her affidavit, Morquianos, a former co-employee in a company in San Juan City, first raped her sister sometime February 2011 at the second floor of his house on Sitio Arguandiente, Barangay Sta. Monica, Novaliches.
She claimed that sexual assaults happened every time he would send a text message asking the victim to clean his house or do his laundry.
The sexual assault happened again sometime March 2011 and last week of September 2013, the victim's sister added.
The victim, who has a mental capacity of an eight-year-old child, did speak of the attacks for fear of Morquianos, the complainant said.
The family of the victim only knew that she was already pregnant during an event April this year in Pasig City when relatives noticed that her tummy was getting bigger.
The victim gave birth of a baby boy last July 11 in Rosario, Batangas.
Last August 10, the complainant said they tried to locate Morquianos but his house was padlocked in Quezon City and reportedly went into hiding.
