2 die as bus rams motorcycle

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Another bus of the controversial G.V. Florida Transportation allegedly figured in a vehicular accident that left two persons dead in Bambang town here before dawn yesterday.

Prince Paul Jose and Joanne Cubero were declared dead on arrival at a municipal hospital after a Florida bus rammed their motorcycle.

Bus driver Ronald de Luna said he was trying to avoid a truck when the brakes failed and he hit the victims’ motorcycle in Barangay Calaocan. 

The bus was heading to Tuguegarao City in Cagayan when the accident happened.

Earlier this year, another Florida bus fell into a ravine in Mountain Province, killing 15 persons, including comedian Arvin “Tado” Jimenez.
