Billy Crawford enters not guilty plea in mischief case

Camille Diola - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Television host Billy Crawford entered a "not guilty" plea during his arraignment Tuesday in the malicious mischief, causing alarm and scandal and disobedience cases against him.

Crawford was arraigned before the Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 74 a week after he was arrested for making a scene at a police station in Taguig.

Two female members of the Taguig City Police earlier submitted complaints after encountering an allegedly drunk Crawford early September 7 demanding that he be brought to the Taguig Police headquarters from the assistance desk at the Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City.

Crawford hit the sliding glass door of the precinct, causing it to shatter, the policewomen claimed.

The former international performer was accompanied by his lawyers Lucas Carpio Jr. and Jose Aspiras, radio reports said.

PO1 Jasmin Zipagan and PO1 Rodelma Canao, the cops-complainant, also appeared before the court.

Subsequent hearings on the cases are scheduled for November 5 and December 1.
