CAMARINES NORTE, Philippines – Suspected New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas killed a former government militia member in Sipocot town, Camarines Sur Wednesday night.
Pedro Enriquez, 55, died at the scene from several gunshot wounds.
He was sleeping when seven armed men attacked him at his home in Barangay Caima.
Town police chief Senior Inspector Ace Christian Mendoza said the assailants took two pistols and an air gun owned by the victim.
Investigators recovered from the crime scene two bullet shells for a caliber .45 pistol and another three for a shotgun.
