CIDG exec is Cabanatuan top cop

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – A former head of Nueva Ecija’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has been named commander of this city’s police force.

Superintendent Joselito Villarosa assumed the post following a turnover ceremony at the city hall Monday. He replaced Superintendent Pedro Soliba who held the post for a year.

Villarosa, 38, is a son and namesake of Makati Judge Joselito Villarosa Sr.

He had been assigned as deputy executive officer of an anti-carjacking group, Task Force Limbas, at Camp Crame. He also served as chief of San Leonardo and Jaen town police stations, regional intelligence officer of the Central Luzon police and concurrent chief of the Highway Patrol Group in Pampanga.
