Bukidnon farmers receive CLOAs

MANILA, Philippines - More than 1,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Bukidnon have received their certificates of land ownership award (CLOA), the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said yesterday.

DAR said 309 CLOAs covering 2,034 hectares of agricultural lands were awarded to 1,189 beneficiaries in Malaybalay City.

Julio Celestiano Jr., DAR provincial officer, said the farmers who are now landowners are facing a challenge to make their farms productive.

The CLOA distribution was one of the highlights of the recently concluded Kaamulan Festival.
