Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have rescued nine women, including four minors, during a raid in a alleged prostitution den in Caloocan City on Thursday night.

According to reports, operatives from the National Bureau of Investigation swooped down on several shanties along 2nd Avenue where the women are kept until they are offered to prospective customers staying in nearby motels.

Quoting an official of the NBI-Anti-Human Trafficking Division, reports said that operatives also arrested five alleged pimps during the raid.

Reports said that the rescued women, who hail from Samar, are survivors of super typhoon Yolanda that devastated parts of the country last year.
