Heavy rainfall warning up in Metro Manila, 11 areas
MANILA, Philippines - A low pressure area (LPA) continues to bring rains over Metro Manila and several areas in Luzon and Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday morning.
The agency said the LPA was located at 45 kilometers southwest of Daet, Camarines Norte at 4 a.m.
PAGASA again issued a heavy rainfall warning (yellow warning level) for Metro Manila?, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Zambales, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas and portions of Rizal, Laguna and Quezon
The rainshowers can cause flooding in low lying areas, the weather bureau added.
In its daily weather forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila, the regions of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol and the provinces of Pangasinan, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and winds coming from the southwest to west will prevail over the rest of the country.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
