PNR train derails in Manila - report

MANILA, Philippines - The operations of the Philippine National Railways was temporarily disrupted after one of its trains got derailed in Manila, Monday morning.
 
Reports said that none of the passengers was injured after PNR train 8808 was derailed from its tracks at Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard near the Altura station.
 
PNR engineers have rushed to the site to bring back the operations of the northbound rail to normal, reports added.
 
Last August 18, a PNR train in Manila also suddenly stopped after it malfunctioned.
 
A Metro Rail Transit train earlier went beyond its tracks and crashed into a safety barrier after the locking system of another train trying to push it to the Taft station in Pasay City also malfunctioned. At least 40 people were hurt during incident.
