Chinese national yields P15M in drugs bust

MANILA, Philippines - Authorities arrested a Chinese national during a sting operation in Quezon City Friday, seizing P15- million worth of illegal drugs.

Initial reports said members of the Quezon City Police District nabbed Xhen Zi Xu of Ongpin Street, Binondo, Manila during a buy bust operation inside a fastfood in Philcoa, Commonwealth Avenue Friday afternoon.

Besides the 10 kilos of suspected shabu placed inside several green plastic bags, operatives also confiscated the suspect's Toyota Vios.

Reports said that While being interrogated by Mayor Herbert Bautista, the suspect was puffing a stick of cigarette, ignoring the local chief executive's questions.

Bautista, irked by the foreigner's actions, slapped the suspect on the face.

The suspect was brought to the QCPD headquarters in Camp Karingal for further investigation and booking.
